The Sun Vanished, also known as the main protagonist/character or TSV, is the owner of the TheSunVanished twitter account.
Early Life[]
TSV was friends with Danyon since he was a child. They both grew up on the same street and graduated from high school together.
After high school one of them moved away, making them drift apart. Not much else is known about Danyon and TSV's relationship from here on. Supposedly, when both were younger, Danyon had bought him a Lego Batman set for his birthday. This is used as identification or to ensure that TSV is still himself and that Danyon is still himself.
Personality[]
TSV/The Sun Vanished is very well shown to be someone who cares about those around him, even going as far as sacrificing his own Twitter account for Danyon and Nat. His emotional reactions to losing Danyon can also be shown during a breakdown he has in his bathroom from consuming too much dark water, where he goes on a rant about everything happening and that he no longer needs to live for Danyon.
TSV can be also described as cowardly. During the start of the ARG, he acts impulsively, not understanding the weight of the situation and throwing himself into trouble quickly. His personality shifts later on when he leaves with Danyon. He learns to survive against the strobelights and even, at one point, having a rage-filled breakdown to which he kills a strobe in the bathroom.
It is very heavily implied that TSV's mental state is slowly spiraling, which can be seen from many of the tweets where he talks about feeling hopeless and lost. During the time of consuming dark water, which may be the reason his mental state is deteriorating, his arm is also severely injured and isn't able to heal properly. His arm was broken by a group of strobelights when he was trying to fill up the car he stole with gas.
The Sun Vanished's Documentation (TBU)[]
April 30th
TSV wakes up. He immediately notices something is wrong. The sun vanished.. He can hear tornado sirens in a neighboring county, but his weather radar is all clear. He turns on the news to find a disturbing report about the disappearance of the sun. A female news reporter assures the public that everything will be back to normal the next day, saying that this event is similar to an event back in 1780 called "New England's Dark Day". Later that day, TSV attempts to fall back to sleep, but he can't due to noises that sound like gunshots off in the distance.
May 1st
TSV wakes up, expecting the sun to be shining. But it's not. It is still dark outside. The news isn't on anymore. There are also disturbing noises outside. Despite this, TSV is very tempted to go out, so he conducts a poll on his Twitter account where most of the voters suggest that he investigates what is happening outside, so he takes a flashlight and takes a walk in a forest. The walk is going fine. He is holding a recording device and a flashlight. He hears a noise and shortly after the flashlight turns off. For a few seconds, there is just darkness, but then a red flashing light appears in mid-air and starts making a clicking noise. TSV runs back to his house to hide. TSV also notices that he cannot see distant stars or planets in the night sky.
May 2nd
The next day, TSV (still shaken and unsettled from the short time he was outside) informs that he didn’t know what that flashing light was and that it was following him. He later realizes, though, that there is still no sign of daylight and that it is getting colder. Soon afterwards, TSV watches a person running by his street being chased by two of the same flashing lights he saw yesterday. By the time he got his phone out to record, they were already gone

- When TSV breaks his arm, it is unknown if he ever seeks actual medical assistance for it. Over the course of the ARG, supposedly his arm has been getting worse, which can be seen in the image of him standing in the bathroom with his hand on the sink.
- TSV, during the start of the ARG, finds a bat that he uses to protect himself. If he ever used this bat is unknown.
- On TSV's old phone, he has an album named 'Remember'.
- It is unspecified if TSV's face in the short film is canonical or not.
- TSV’s blood has gained acidic properties, presumably as a result of darkwater consumption, he seems to be immune or at the very least highly resistant to this acid.
